NASA SaSaMSI provides academic and direct research engagement in student airborne field campaigns to undergraduate minority students as part of the NASA Science Mission Directorate Science Activation Program.

8-week program at 6 Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and 3 NASA centers

Receive a competitive stipend,  travel and housing expenses covered

 

Student airborne field campaign covering many aspects from planning of to achieve objectives, flying on NASA aircraft, and conducting measurements at ground validation sites

  • Gain hands-on research experience with the guidance of faculty and NASA research mentors

  • Fly onboard NASA research aircraft

  • Gain practical training in scientific research, data collection, and experimentation
